Election outcomes
Dear Neighbour,

The change of government will be a good thing for Boroondara.

Clearway Extensions

The commitment to abolsih these has already been announced, and the sooner the signs are changed back the better.

Freeway Noise
Committments were made about how Freeway noise for the Eastern Freeway would be dealt with.  The solution was to give the EPA more power to be able to force VIC Roads to fix the problem.  We are awaiting an update on this.

Street Trees

Nothing heard on this yet, the Mayor will be following this up

Planning

This is a key area.  Most will know that the dreaded DACS will not be an issue any more, but there is much more to be considered.  The present policy still needs a lot of work.  We look forward to planning control being returned to the local govt.

New Members

In our own area I welcome Ms Georgie Crozier, our new upper hourse member and Mr Graham Watt, the new Member for Burwood.

Sincerely

Phillip Healey
